Rawaaopakonsel.ac.id, Andoolo – We are pleased to announce the International Congress on Islamic Education, set to take place in the historic city of Istanbul from 5–7 November 2026. This landmark event will gather scholars, researchers, and educators from across the globe to explore the evolving landscape of pedagogical practices within the Islamic tradition.

As we navigate an era of rapid technological and social change, the congress serves as a vital platform for synthesizing traditional values with modern educational demands, ensuring that Islamic education remains both authentic and relevant.

International Congress on Islamic Education: Istanbul, 5-7 November 2026

The theme for this year’s congress, “Bridging Tradition and Innovation,” focuses on how Islamic educational institutions can adapt to the digital age without compromising their foundational ethical principles. Participants will engage in deep dives into curriculum development, the role of artificial intelligence in the classroom, and the promotion of critical thinking within a faith-based framework.

By fostering a dialogue between classical scholarship and contemporary science, we aim to provide a roadmap for nurturing holistic individuals who are equipped to contribute positively to global society.

Istanbul, a city that has served as a bridge between East and West for centuries, provides the perfect backdrop for this intellectual exchange. The venue will host a variety of keynote speeches, panel discussions, and interactive workshops designed to spark collaboration and cross-cultural understanding. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to network with leading figures in the field, share their latest research findings, and observe firsthand the diverse educational models currently being implemented in different Muslim-majority countries and minority contexts.

Key Areas of Focus

  • Curriculum Reform: Integrating STEM and the humanities into Islamic schools.
  • Ethics in Technology: Addressing the challenges of AI and social media in student life.
  • Teacher Training: Enhancing the pedagogical skills of educators in Madrasas and universities.
  • Identity Construction: Supporting youth in developing a confident identity in a globalized world.

We invite researchers and practitioners to submit their abstracts for presentation by June 30, 2026. Submissions may cover a wide range of topics, including historical perspectives on Islamic pedagogy, case studies on innovative school systems, or theoretical frameworks for moral education. All accepted papers will be published in the official congress proceedings, and selected works will be considered for a special edition of the International Journal of Islamic Educational Research.

Registration will be opened soon, with early-bird discounts available until the end of August. We encourage all who are passionate about the future of learning to join us in Istanbul for these three days of rigorous academic inquiry and spiritual reflection. Together, we can shape an educational future that honors our rich heritage while embracing the possibilities of tomorrow. We look forward to welcoming you to the heart of the world in November 2026.
